Death Comes To Mrs. Belle Streeby
Mrs. Belle Streeby, 62, of 2303 East Main street, died at Ottumwa hospital at 9:45 a.m. today. She was the daughter of Simeon and Emma Tweedell and was born at Keokuk April 4, 1880, She had lived in Ottumwa practically all her life and had been active in democratic politics, serving as committeewoman. Survivors include a son, Charles E. Streeby of Camp Robinson Arkansas, a brother Harry Tweedell, of Thomasville, Georgia, and a half-brother Jack Morris of Waterloo, and a grand daughter,Donna Lou Streeby of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her husband Charles Streeby died July 2, 1939. Funeral service for Mrs. Belle Streeby of 2302 Eat Main street, who died Tuesday will be held at the residence at 3 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Georg T. Hubbard of the East End Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The casket was removed from the Johnson funeral chapel to the home this afternoon. Pallbearers will be Francis Tweedell, Donald Tweedell, Warren Morris, Donald Cox, Sim Tweedell and Harry Edsel.
