Charles O. Workman, 59, of 1020 Locust street died at 8:25 p.m. Wednesday. the son of Josiah and Elizabeth Workman, he was born in Decatur county, Iowa, April 7, 1883. He had lived in Ottumwa for 23 years. Mr. Workman was a member of the East End Presbyterian church. He was and employee of John Morrell & Co. for 22 years. He and Grace Warnock were married September 25, 1907. She survives him. Also surviving are two sons, Laurel A. and R. Merril Workman, Ottumwa; two daughters, Maxine E. Workman and Mrs. Eleanor Smith, Ottumwa, four grandchildren, Marsha Ann, Linda Kay and Clark Merril Workman. Funeral services for Charles O. Workman 59, of 1020 Locust street, who died Wednesday evening will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the residence and at 3:30 p.m. from the East End Presbyterian church in charge of the Rev. George T. Hubbard and the Rev. W.J. Creswell. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn cemetery. The casket will remain at the Johnson funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Saturday, when it will be taken to the residence. Pallbearers will be Sterling Hodges, Clarence C. Reedquist, James Weir, Paul Boyd, Cash C. Eddy and Roy Howell.
