Mrs. Lucy Hunt 83, of 320 Pocahontas street, died at her home at 6 a.m. She was the daughter of Amos and Elizabeth Work, born in West Virginia October 29, 1858. She moved to Davis county, south of Blakesburg, when a small girl then lived in Ottumwa for 35 years. Surviving are a son, Paul Hunt of Wynne Wood, Oklahoma; two daughters Mary Murray of Chicago and Eythelle O'Hair at home, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed in May, 1927. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from Johnson's funeral chapel, with the Rev. Charles F. Albin of the Brethren church in charge. Burial will be in the Albany cemetery five miles south of Blakesburg.
