Mrs. Sadie Myers Dies At Age 63
Mrs. Sadie Myers,63, wife of Earl Myers of Ottumwa route 5, died suddenly at her home at 8:30 p.m. Thursday. She was the daughter of John and Margaret Schwartz, born in Wapello county October 16, 1879. She had lived in the county all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Surviving are her husband Earl; son, Ellsworth, Ottumwa route 5; five daughters, Mrs. Harold Vandello, Ottumwa, Mrs. Ray Bachman, Ottumwa, Mrs. Boyd Yelton, St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Paul Lemberger, Ottumwa and Irene Myers at home. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, two sister, Mrs. Charles Lunkley, Ottumwa and Mrs. Mary McFarland, Mexico, Missouri; two brothers Carl Schwartz of Ottumwa and Jim Schwartz of Drakesville. Short services will be held at the residence Friday and 8:30 a.m. and at the St. Mary's church at 9 a.m., where a solemn requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh, V.F., Rev. T.C. Donohoe and the Rev. Father Albers. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery. The casket will be taken from Johnson's funeral chapel to the residence late this evening.
