George Pollard Dies In Seattle
Word has been received here of the death of George B. Pollard, formerly of Ottumwa and brother of H.L. Pollard of 231 East Pennsylvania avenue, died in a Seattle hospital today. Mr. Pollard was well known in Ottumwa, having lived here many years. He worked for Harper McIntire Co. both in Ottumwa and Cedar Rapids, and was a member of the American Legion. Funeral arrangements will await the return of Mr. and Mrs. H.L. Pollard from Florida. Commitment services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the grave in the Ottumwa cemetery for George B. Pollard, who died February 28 in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Pollard is survived by a sister, Mrs. Carrie P. Rogers of Washington D.C. and by a brother Harvey L. Pollard of Ottumwa.
