Herbert Paul Renfro, 717 East Mill street, died at his home at 11:45 p.m. Saturday. He was born January 26, 1873, the son of Harriett and Wesley Renfro in Huntsville, Missouri. he had lived in Ottumwa over 40 years. Surviving are his wife, Ethel; two daughters, Myrtle of Milwaukee and Doris of Ottumwa; four sons, Raymond of Milwaukee, and Herbert, Cornell and Russell of Ottumwa. two sisters, Julia Evelyne Renfro of Des Moines and Mrs. Emma Pitts of Davenport. Mr. Renfro had worked at John Morrell & Co. until stricken by illness seven months ago. He was a member of the Mt. Zion A.M.E. church. The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home pending the completion of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Herbert P. Renfro who died Saturday night at his home 717 Mill street, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lester Jay funeral home, conducted by the Rev. William Shaw pastor of the second Baptist church, assisted by the Rev. Henry J. Parker of the Mt. Zion A.M.E. church. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
