William Moore 38, of 939 South Sheridan avenue, died at the University hospital in Iowa City at 12:15 a.m. Thursday. The son of John and Martha Moore, he was born in Davis county August 16, 1903. He had lived in Ottumwa for the past 14 years and had worked for John Morrell & Co. most of that time. He was a member of the Pentecostal church. Surviving are his wife, Mary, a son, Rex; his mother in Bloomfield; two brothers, Wesley of Bunch and Winford of Bloomfield, route 5; two sisters, Mrs. John A. Stufflebeam and Mrs. C.C. Strunk of Ottumwa. His father preceded him in death in 1936. Funeral services for William Moore, 939 South Sheridan avenue, who died at Iowa City Thursday morning, will be held from the residence at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and at 2 p.m. at the Pentecostal church. The Rev. A.D. McClure will be in charge, assisted by the Rev. Russell Selix. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter Selix, Virgil Moore, Hugh Stufflebeam, Max Strung, Clell Moore and Paul Dean Harrington. The casket was taken from the Johnson funeral chapel to the home today.
