William H. Pixley, 69, 426 West Second street, died at the University hospital at Iowa City Thursday morning. The son of George and Adaline Pixley, he was born in California December 2, 1872. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for 15 years, during most of which time he had been an employee of the Lowenberg Bakery. However, for the last few months he had worked for the Price Mercantile Co. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge at Mt. Pleasant and of the Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, Margaret, two sons, Charles and William of Ottumwa and a grandson Wallace of Ottumwa. One son, George preceded him in death. Funeral services for William H. Pixley, 426 West Second street who died in Iowa City Thursday morning, will be held from the Johnson funeral chapel at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in charge of the Rev. Herbert A. Keck D.D. or the First Methodist church. Burial well be in the Memorial Lawn cemetery. The casket will be closed at the beginning of the service. Odd Fellows will have their services at the grave and members of the I.O.O.F. lodge are asked to meet at the funeral chapel. Pallbearers will be Peter Hissink, S.O. Erhardt, Fed Morgan, Carl Dimmitt, Floyd Miller and Les Saunders.
