Mrs. Anna Nichols 76, widow of the late Edwin R. Nichols, died at the Ottumwa hospital Monday at 3:30 p.m. She was born in Polo, Illinois October 9, 1865. Later she lived in Eagle Grove. Moving to Cedar Rapids, she made her home in that city for 20 years. She came to Ottumwa August 1, 1940 to live with her daughter Mrs. A.P. Stevens, 508 North Court street. In addition to her daughter she is survived by a son, Charles E. Lee of Waterloo, a sister Mrs. Emma Wressell of Cedar Rapids, three grandchildren and one nephew. Her husband preceded her in death in 1909. The body will be at the Vaughan funeral chapel until 5 p.m. Wednesday, when it will be sent to the Eagle Grove for services and burial.
