Bert McReynolds, 67 died at his home 919 Church street, at 3:45 p.m. Monday. The son of Thomas and Nancy McReynolds, he was born in Jefferson county April 4, 1874. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 30 years. He was a member of the Open Bible church. Surviving are his wife, a son Glen of Los Angeles and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Lareta Scully of Ottumwa and Mrs. Velma Swaim of Blakesburg route 2 and two nieces. He was preceded in death by one son. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:20 p.m. from the Johnson's funeral chapel conducted by the Rev. Trenton Staton of the Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be in the Abington cemetery.
