W.H. Green, Retired Railroader, Dies
William H. Green, 80-year-old retired railroader, died at his home 840 West Second street, today at 5 a.m. Mr. Green was born, March 3, 1860 in Syracuse, Ohio, the son of Henry and Ann Green. He was married January 30, 1892, to Miss Jemima Williams of Ottumwa. Fifteen, years ago he retired from the electrical engineering department of the Milwaukee railroad. He was a member of the New Hope lodge No. 480 A.F.& A.M. and a lifetime member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints. Surviving are his wife; daughters Mrs. H.F. Bromann of Burlington and Mrs. Edwald Jochins of Kenosha, Wisconsin; son, John D. Green of Ottumwa; sisters, Mrs. Harman Beaman of Whiting, Kansas and Mrs. Charles Barridge of Atchison, Kansas; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Lester Jay funeral home.
