Andrew Cupp, 78, R.R. Veteran Dies
Retired From Milwaukee; Ottumwan 30 Years
Andrew Cupp, 78 year-old retired Milwaukee railroader, died at his home, 238 Grand avenue, Monday at 1:35 p.m. Mr. Cupp was a retired car inspector for the Milwaukee. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cupp and was born in Appanoose county February 18, 1863. He had lived in Ottumwa for the last 30 years. Surviving are a stepson, Thomas A. Bowie of Des Moines stepdaughter, Mrs. Carrie L. Fugate of Kansas City, Missouri, and a sister, Mrs. Theresa McGrew of Good Thunder, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his wife Minta, February 19, 1939. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen. Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Johnson's funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Lloyd C. Snyder. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
