Robert P. Richards, 58, of 1103 Orchard street, died at the Ottumwa hospital at 2:15 a.m. today. The son of Samuel and Amanda Richards, he was born at Corning June 12, 1883. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 35 years. Mr. Richards was and employee of the John Morrell & Co. plant in Ottumwa. He worked in the pickle department. Surviving are his wife, Clara; a stepson, Leroy Parks, in the U.S. Navy; three brothers Albert, Lewis and William all of Agency; three sisters Mrs. C.H. Burton of Ottumwa, Mrs. B. Brewer of Agency and Mrs. Clay Staples of Mt. Etna. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting the completion of funeral arrangements.
