W.F. Eager, Retired Rail Worker, Dies
Wallace F. Eager, 71, retired employee of the Burlington railroad, died at his home 107 South Union street, at 10:20 a.m. today. He was born in, Illinois June 5, 1870, the son of Helen and Charles Eager. He was married to Mary Buswell July 30, 1893, in Nebraska. She survives him. Mr. Eager farmed prior to his coming to Ottumwa in 1913. He started work then for the bridge and building department of the Burlington. He retired in March, 1938. He was a member of the Burlington Veterans association. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Mrs. John Zan-(obit cut off) of Detroit and Gussie Eager of Des Moines, and two grandchildren. The body is at the Carroll Reece funeral home, pending completion of funeral arrangements.
