Victor Lee Wood, 12-year-old son of Walter and Florence Wood, Ottumwa route 6, died at the University hospital in Iowa City at 11:30 a.m. Friday. He was born in Wapello county April 7, 1929. He was a student in the eighth grade at Elm Gove school on route 4. Surviving are his parents, eight sisters. Mrs. Pauline Sholes, Mrs. Francis Venator, Mrs. Marian Pyle, Mrs. Helen Parcel, Mrs. Margaret Brewer, Ethel, Oma and Janet Wood, all of near Ottumwa; a brother James Wood of Ottumwa route 2, and his grandmother, Mrs. Ella Skirvin of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. from the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. Leo Simmons. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be cousins.
