Janice Marie Dyke, 13-day-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dyke, Ottumwa route 1 died at her home at 2 a.m. Wednesday. It is thought she died of suffocation. Surviving are the parents; two sisters, Rozella an Ruby, grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Aaron Dyke, Ottumwa and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Downing of Ottumwa; great grandmother, Mrs. Faly Dell Prever, and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Hanrahan of Ottumwa. Short services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from Johnson's funeral chapel, with burial in the Ottumwa cemetery.
