Mrs. Harriett Maude Wicoxon, 62 died at her home at 221 North Clay street at 3 a.m. today after a long illness. She was born July 20, 1879, at Minneapolis the daughter of Isaac and Abigail VerValen. They moved to Ottumwa later. She was active in the S.B.A. lodge and was a member of the Milwaukee Machinist auxillary. She had lived in Ottumwa for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband W.R. Wilcoxon. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jessie Gardner of 221 N. Clay street, and three brothers. I.N. VerValen of Baldwin Park, California W.A. VerValen of Liberty, Missouri and G.F. VerValen of Berkley, California. Pallbearers will be Milwaukee railroad employees. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30 at the Traul funeral chapel and burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
