60-Year Resident Of Ottumwa Is Dead
Elonzo Crofford 81, died at the Sunnyslope sanatorium at 2 p.m. Monday. He was born October 29, 1859 at Lancaster Missouri. He had been a resident of this community for the past 60 years. Mr. Crofford was a member of the East End Presbyterian church and of Modern Woodmen circle No. 140. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Bradham, Chicago, three sons, H.E. Crawford, W.H. Crawford and J.J. Crawford of Ottumwa, a brother J.W. Crawford, Vandalia, Michigan and five grandchildren. The body is at the Johnson funeral home, awaiting the completion of funeral arrangements.
Funeral services for Elonzo Crofford, who died Monday at 2 p.m. will be held in Johnson's funeral chapel at 4 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. E.M. Boyer. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alfred Crow, Albert Johnson, Ed Carson, Ed Wrenn, Roy Adams and Charles Cloyd.
