70-Year Resident Of Ottumwa Is Dead
Mrs. May D. Harry, 70, wife of O.A. Harry, of Echo street, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.W. Mills, 725 North Green street, at 7:35p.m. Mrs. Harry was the daughter of W.H. and Mary Jane Donaldson, born at Iowa City, November 1, 1870. She moved to Ottumwa with her parents when a few months old, and had lived in this city ever since. Mrs. Harry was an active member of the Riverview Methodist church. Surviving are her husband, O.A. Harry, five daughters, Mrs. Viola Babb and Mrs. Lottie Bakenhus, both of Seattle, Mrs. Ora Mills, Mrs. Alta Dial and Mrs. Clarisa Coates, all of Ottumwa, a sister, Mrs. E.S. Musselman; of Klamath Falls, Oregon, a brother W.O. Donaldson, Ottumwa, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her first husband, Benjamin B. Bissell, in 1907 and a son Ralph, and a daughter, Hazel. Funeral services for Mrs. May D. Harry,70, wife of O.A. Harry, Echo street who died at the home of her daughter , Mrs. J.W. Mills 725 North Green street, Wednesday, will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Johnson funeral chapel. The Rev. S.E. Cole of Martinsburg, will be in charge. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hillard Fowler, Donald Young, Hollie Meeker, Toney Payne, Elvery Pownell and Ray Maurer.
