G.O. Nelson 67, retired Ottumwa grocer, died at his home 615 East Fourth street, at 2:15 a.m. today. Death was sudden and was attributed to a heart attack. Born in Tiderarum, Sweden, May 25, 1874. Mr. Nelson came to the country when he was nine years old. He had been a long-time resident of Ottumwa, and for years was secretary-treasurer of the Standard Grocery. His wife, Minnie Rosene Nelson, preceded him in death in 1930. Surviving him are a son, Robert R. of South Euclid, Ohio, a daughter, Louise of Davenport and a sister, Mrs. Anna Sellin, of Ottumwa. Funeral services for G.O. Nelson (above) , retired Ottumwa grocer who died at his home 615 East Fourth street, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran church. The Rev. Malvin H. Lundeen will be in charge, assisted by LeRoy Anderson. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery. The casket will remain at Johnson's funeral chapel until noon Tuesday, when it will be taken to the church to remain until the hour of services. Surviving Mr. Nelson are son, Robert of South Euclid, Ohio, and a daughter, Louise of Davenport, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Sellin, Ottumwa and Mrs. Clara Lingren, Wausa Nebraska.
