Mrs. Mammie Newnam of 214 South Ward street, widow of W.M. Newnam died at 11:15 p.m. Thursday at Sunnyslope sanatorium. She was born November 9, 1894 in Ottumwa the daughter of May and A.L. McDaniel. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy and Mary Lou of Ottumwa; her mother, Mrs. May McDaniel of Ottumwa and six sisters and two brothers. She was a member of the First Baptist church. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian church conducted by the Rev. John R. Estes, pastor of the First Baptist church. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery. The body will be at the Lester Jay funeral home until time for service. Services for Mrs. Mamie Newnam of 214 South Ward street, who died Thursday night, will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the First Baptist church, and not in the Presbyterian church as previously announced. The Rev. John R. Estes will be in charge and burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
