Mrs. Jane Tennis, 81, died at 5:45 p.m. Friday in Ottumwa hospital, after having been in failing health for five years. She had lived her entire lifetime in the Fremont and Kirkville communities. Mrs. Tennis is survived by two daughters and four sons. They are Mrs. Mary Morrow, Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Ted Abernathy, Ottumwa route 5 with whom she has been making her home; Otis Tennis, Cambridge, Minnesota, Ollie Beacon; John, Ottumwa and Howard, Fremont. Thirteen grandchildren, three sisters and a brother also survive. The latter are Mrs. Abbie Hughes, Garden City, Kansas, Mrs. Chris Shayler, San Francisco; Mrs. Jessie Fleener McCreery, Martinsburg, and Sam Sheets, Madison, Kansas. the body will be taken direct from the Community Funeral Service parlors, Ottumwa to the Kirkville Methodist church for the funeral which will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, in charge of the Rev. Mr. Hight Chillicothe. Burial will be in White Oak cemetery.
