D.S. Bonwell 77, Dies Late Monday
Former Center Township Justice, Constable
Dick S. Bonwell 77, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Rupe, 307 McKinley avenue, at 11:57 p.m. Monday. Mr. Bonwell was born in Indiana August 16, 1868, the son of Michael and Agnes Simms Bonwell. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rupe and Mrs. Agnes Linden, Riverdale, Illinois and one sister, Mrs. Laura Goehring. Mr. Bonwell had been both a constable and a justice of the peace in Center township. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home, with the Rev. Harold Roberts in charge. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
