Heat Hurries Death Of Ottumwa Woman
Mrs. Rosa Albertson 80, wife of Oliver Albertson 607 Wabash avenue, died at her home at 5 p.m. Wednesday. She has been ill for some time, but died unexpectedly. Physicians said the heat contributed to her death. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Katherine Ireland, born at Mr. Pleasant, September 12, 1860. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for 65 years. Surviving are her husband, Oliver; three daughters, Mrs. Maude Overturf, Mrs. Pearl Bennett and Mrs. Tiller Blanchard, all of Ottumwa; a son, Lee Earl Albertson of Galena, Kansas, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Charles Ireland of Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at Johnson funeral chapel Friday at 2 p.m. in charge of the Rev. John Hastie. Burial will be in Zion cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
