George Dixon, 71, was found dead in bed this morning in his home, seven miles southwest of Oskaloosa, where he lived alone. He had been in poor health for some time. He spent most of his life in the Fremont vicinity, where he was born. Mr. Dixon is survived by five half sisters, and two half brothers; Mrs. Elizabeth Willison an Mrs. Ed Merrick, Oskaloosa; Mrs. George Abel, Fremont; Mrs. Rose Millard, Keosauqua; Mrs. Josie Lacey, Tecumseh, Nebraska; Fred Short, Hayesville and Charles Dixon, Ottumwa. The body will be at the Community funeral service parlors until the time for services, which will be conducted by the Rev. Alfred Worth at 6 o'clock tonight at the grave in Helm cemetery, east of Fremont.
