George Shawver, 67, of Kirkville, died at 4:05 a.m. today at St. Joseph hospital. A life long resident of Kirkville, Shawver had been in filing health for two years. Besides his brother, C.J. Shawver of Kirkville, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Van Jones, Winthrop Washington, Mrs. Glenn Teal, Coeur d'Alene, and Edith L. Keeny, Spokane, Washington. Pending funeral arrangements the body will be at the Community Funeral Service parlors.
Funeral services for George Shawver of Kirkville, who died Friday at the St. Joseph, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Kirkville Methodist church. The Rev. J.E. Matheny of Cedar will be in charge . Burial will be in the West View cemetery, Kirkville. An Odd Fellows services will be held at the grave. the body will be taken from the community Funeral service parlors, Ottumwa to the home of C.J. Shawver, Kirkville, at 10 a.m. Sunday.
