Mrs. E.C. West, about 45, died today at 7:45 a.m. at her home, 405 Albany street, after a long illness. Mrs. West was born south of Ottumwa, the daughter of George W. and Alice C. Cowan. She had lived in Ottumwa all her life. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Winnie Cravatzo of South Gate, California; brothers, John of Hobson, Montana. Julian of Sarahsville, Ohio and George Will Cowan of Freeman, Ontario, Canada. The body is at Johnson's funeral chapel.
