Mrs. Frances English Dies Sunday, Was 76
Born Near Fremont, Here Most Of Her Life.
Mrs. Frances English, 76, native of this area died Sunday at 12:05 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Reeves, 536 North Green street. Mrs. English was the daughter of Smith and Louisa Aldridge and was born October 22, 1865, near Fremont. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church. Mrs. English had lived most of her life in this vicinity. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Reeves; son Donald English of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, sister Mrs. W. R. Hall and Miss Dorcas Aldridge of Hurdland Missouri, brothers Fred Aldridge of Fremont and C.D. Aldridge of Edmonton, Alberta Canada, grandchildren Robert and Frances Reeves, Mrs. Martha Hampton and Miss Mary English all of Ottumwa. Services will be held in the Lester Jay funeral home Tuesday at 10 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Richard Paul Graebel, pastor of the First Christian church. Burial will be in Fremont cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Cleve Harter, Harold Picken, Arthur McElroy, Glenn Proud, Charles Galey and Taylor Baker.
