H.S. Larson Succumbs Today
Harold S. Larson 69, died today at 4:30 a.m. at his home, 243 North Monroe street. He was the son of Peter and Johanna Larson and was born n Ottumwa January 31, 1880. He had lived in Ottumwa all of his life. For the last 34 years he had worked for the Ottumwa Gas Co. Surviving are sister, Miss Lorena E. Larson of Ottumwa, Mrs. T.A. Polson of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Henning Billberg of Exline and Mrs. Pete Strandberg of Centerville. He was preceded in death by a brother, G.A. Larson.
Services for Harold S. Larson, who died Wednesday at his home, 213 North Monroe street, will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in Johnson's funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Malvin H. Lundeen, pastor of the First Lutheran church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be Oscar W. Ekwall, Oscar A. Engstrom, Charles Davis, Ernest W. Johnson, Cliff Palmer and E.E. Shoemaker. The casket was taken to the home today at 5 p.m. will be returned to the chapel Saturday noon.
