Mrs. Hannah Belle Springer, 75 formerly of Agency, died Tuesday, January 7, at her home in Taft, California. She was born May 4, 1865, four miles southeast of Agency the daughter of Thomas and Parthena Jane Foster. She lived most of her life in Wapello county, was graduated from Ottumwa high school and was a member of the Methodist church, Chapter G.P.E.O., Ottumwa and Mizpah chapter, NO. 24, Order of the Eastern Star at Farmington. Mrs. Springer was married to Charles W. Springer January 10, 1889. He preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters, Miss Ruth Springer of Kingsport, TN. Mrs. Clarence Treece of Larkspur, Colorado and Mrs. J.M. Davis of McKittrick, California, and sons, Foster and D.D. Springer of Kansas City. James M. of Portland Oregon and Ben C. of Half Moon Bay, California.
Services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. in Agency Methodist church, conducted by the Rev Morton D. Wyatt, pastor of the Agency Methodist church. Burial will be in Agency cemetery. The body will be at Lester Jay funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
