Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” September 30, 1947:

MRS. ZATHA ARCHER.

Mrs. Zatha E. Archer, died at 4:05 a.m today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd L. Buchanan at 334 South Davis street.

The daughter of Robert and Della Bradshaw, she was born July 1, 1897. She had made her home in Poulsbo, Wash., until her recent illness of the past two months during which time she made her home with her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and one brother.

Mrs. Archer is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Buchanan and Mrs. William H. Selix of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home, conducted by the Rev. O.L. Welsons, assisted by Rev. Gerald Vriezelaar of Des Moines. Burial will be in the Shaul cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Selix, Donald Welshons, Glenn Hawkins, William Thompson, Herbert Leon and Harold Wooden.
