Death Takes Enyart, 95

Watson N. Enyart, 95, former well-known resident of Fairfield, died at 4 a.m. today at Hunter Addition to Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton where he had lived since 1974.

Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 14 at the United Methodist Church in Agency with the Rev. Harold Harriman officiating. Interment will be in Agency Cemetery.

Watson N. Enyear was born Oct. 25, 1879, at Agency, the son of John and Mary Newell Enyart. He was reared and educated in the Agency Community.

He was in the banking business for 50 years, first in Agency and then in Newton from 1933 until his retirement in 1958.

The Enyarts purchased a home in Fairfield soon after to be near their daughter and lived at 52 N. Morgan. They remained in Fairfield until returning to Newton three years ago.

He was married to Lauretta Cremer Sept. 8, 1899, in Agency. He was a member of the United Methodist Chruch, Rotary, Masons, and Shrine.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Enyart is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Carroll Bradshaw, Fairfield; two sons, Charles, Akron, Ohio, and James, Des Moines; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Raymond Funeal Home Sunday and until 11 a.m. Monday when the casket will be taken to the church in Agency. The family would appreciate memorials to the Hunter Addition to Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
