OTTUMWA - Mrs. Irene Miller Dage, 56, rural Eldon, was fatally injured here Friday when the car in which she was riding collided with a school bus at the junction of Iowa Avenue and Highway 34.
Mrs. Dage died at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital. The car was driven by her husband, Harold Dage, 63. He is a hospital patient.
There were no injuries aboard the school bus, driven by Barbara Parr, 49, Ottumwa.
Services for Mrs. Dage will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Batavia Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Wright and the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Campbell Funeral Chapel to the church at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Dage was born Dec. 18, 1917 in Floris, the daughter of Elmer and Edna Rector Grinstead. Most of her life was spent in 1966, she was married to Harold Dage July 2, 1974.
Surviving are he husband and the following children: Mrs. Joan Van Blaricome and Mrs. Janet Baldridge, both of Batavia; Mrs. Judy Rupe, Ottumwa; Lisa Miller, Eldon' Melvin Miller, Fort Collins, Colo.; and Michael Miller, Ottumwa.
Also surviving are five stepchildren, 13 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and one sister, Juanita Carver, East Peoria, Ill.
Mrs. Dage was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the ODO Club of Batavia and the Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary.
