LIBERTYVILLE - John W. Allison, 90, resident of the Libertyville Community, died at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at the Parkview Care Center where he had been a patient for the past 10 weeks.
Last rites will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery at Libertyville.
John W. Allison was born Oct. 5, 1883, in Wapello County near Highland Center. He was the son of William G. and Ella Cunningham Allison, and was reared and educated in Keokuk County.
He married Leoda Potts Aug, 3, 1903, in Eldon. She passed away Dec. 18, 1951.
Allison was a retired farmer and trucker adn a member of the K of P Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Cooksey; and Mrs. Willa Mae Harrison, both of Libertyville; three sons, Jack, Liberty, Mo.; Keith and Bill both of Libertyville.
Other survivors include 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Marie Hegg, Elmhurst, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, one great-grandson and three brothers.
