Elizabeth Bailey

Elizabeth P. Bailey, 82, of Ridgewood Care Center died April 2 at 6:45 p.m. in Ottumwa Hospital.

She was born Aug. 31, 1898, in Lewis County, Mo., to George and Della Cooper Brumbaugh. She had lived in Ottumwa since 1927 and was a member of Ottumwa Baptist Temple.

Survivors: sons George and Roy Thrasher of Ottumwa; daughters Ethel Judge of Davenport, Catherine Humble of Eldon and Violet Myers of Hamilton, Mont.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Earl of Lancaster, Mo., Dewey of Queen City, Mo., Charles of Eddyville, Leonard of Ottumwa and Ralph Brumbaugh of Cedar Rapids; and sisters Tina Simmons, Georgia Brumbaugh and Willa Chatterton of Ottumwa, Gladys Kirkpatrick in Illinois, Stella Shannon in Missouri and Clover Stein of Keokuk.

Services: 3 p.m. Monday at her church, the Rev. A.D. Pringle officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery.

The casket at Johnson Funeral Chapel will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. Monday and closed as the service begins.
