Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” February 20, 1939:

MRS. HAROLD J. CHISMAN.

Funeral services for Mrs. Harold J. Chisman, 34, who died in a hospital at Madison, Wis., Friday, following a brief illness, will be held here at the Lester Jay funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Shaul cemetery.

The Chismans lived at 514 South Webster street in Ottumwa before moving to Madison two years ago. Mrs. Chisman was the former Daisy Lauderback. They were married here June 20, 1923.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Chisman is survived by two sons, Keith, 9 years old, and Donald James, a month old; two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Sheets and Mrs. Arthur Canny, both of Ottumwa; three brothers, Ray, Arthur and James Lauderback, all of Waterloo.

Services were held Sunday afternoon in Madison and then the body was brought to Ottumwa.
