Mrs. Starr's Father Dies

Jesse G. Ferguson, 92, of Ottumwa, father of Mrs. J. Carleton Starr, 104 E. Fillmore, died Monday in Red Wing, Minn.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa.

The son of George and Ada Parnell Ferguson, he was born Sept. 21, 1881. He had been a resident of Ottumwa all of his life. He was a cigar maker for 25 years and a John Morrell Co., employe for 25 years, retiring in 1947.

Ferguson was a member of the East End United Presbyterian Church in Ottumwa. He was married to June V. State on April 30, 1908. She died Oct. 17, 1973.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Corinne) Anderson of Ottumwa and Mrs. J. Carleton (Delores) Starr of Fairfield and one son, Bernard Ferguson of Red Wing, Minn., four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
