Eva Newman

LEON - Former Agency resident Eva D. Newman, 97, of Leon died Dec. 30 at Westview Acres Nursing Home in Leon.

She was born Aug. 2, 1885, at Cedar to Eli and Laura Medifesser Arnold. She married Ben Newman. He has died. She moved from Agency to Leon six years ago.

Survivors: sons Bennie of Agency and Dale of Leon; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lewis Arnold of Clear Water, Fla.

Graveside service: 1 p.m. Monday in Agency Cemetery at Agency.

Arrangements: Slade Funeral Home, Leon.
