Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” May 23, 1954:

MRS. ALBERT G. DAVIS.

Mrs. Cecil May Davis, 51, wife of Albert G. Davis, 1201 Center avenue, died about 4 a.m. today at Sunnyslope sanatorium.

The daughter of Walter and Rebecca Clancy, she was born May 26, 1902, at Unionville. She was married to Mr. Davis November 5, 1921, at Bloomfield. A member of the Northside Nazarene church, she had lived in Ottumwa for the past 30 years.

Besides her husband she is survived by four sons, Garold Dean Davis and Donald Eugene Davis, both of Ottumwa, Jerry Lee Davis, with the armed forces in Korea, and Robert Swaim Davis, with the marines at San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Earl Richards and Mrs. Donald Eslinger, both of Ottumwa, and Mary Lou Davis, at home; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Delmar Cook, Mrs. Raymond Shelton and Mrs. Marion Jackson, all of Ottumwa; one brother, John Clancy of Ottumwa, and four half-sisters, Mrs. Florence Waters and Mrs. Ray Sears, both of Ottumwa, Mrs. Rachel Price and Mrs. Anna Dunning, both of Elgin, Ill. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Rose Mary, Lois Eloise and Rebecca Ann.

The body is at the Community funeral home pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
