Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” August 20, 1963:

Albert G. Davis, 64, of 114 S. Caldwell died Monday at 2 p.m. at Ottumwa Hospital after a 10-day illness.

He was the son of John and Birdie Davis and was born near Kirksville, Mo., Dec. 8, 1898. He was employed at Barker Poultry Equipment Co.

His marriage to Cecil Mae Clancy took place in Bloomfield Nov. 5, 1921. She died March 23, 1954. They had lived in Moulton for eight years, then moved to Ottumwa. Mr. Davis was a member of the Northside Nazarene Church.

Survivors include four sons, Garold, Donald, Jerry and Robert Davis, all of Ottumwa; three daughters, Mrs. Darlene Richards, Mrs. Betty Eslinger and Mrs. Mary Lou Carnes, all of Ottumwa; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Miss Mable Davis of Los Angeles and Mrs. Bryan Dwight of Cincinnati, and two brothers, Joseph and Gilbert Davis of Rock Island Ill. Preceding him death besides his wife were three grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers.

The body is at the Community Funeral Home.

The service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Community Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Chester K. Johnston of the Northside Nazarene Church. Pallbearers will be Barker employes. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
