Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” August 1, 1956:

LESTER W. SPONSLER

Lester W. Sponsler, 56, a former Ottumwan, died at 5 p.m. Monday at his home in Union, N.J.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Crow of Ottumwa, one son, Robert and two grandchildren, all of Union. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Harry Gustaveson, two brothers, Carl and Fred Sponsler, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Sponsler, all of Ottumwa.

Word has not been received as to funeral arrangements and burial.
