PIONEER PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY

JOHN SINSKEY SUCCUMBS TO ILLNESS AT HOME TEN MILES WEST OF CITY

John Sinskey, a pioneer resident of Wapello county passed away yesterday afternoon at 8 o’clock at his home in Adams township, ten miles west of city.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Rev. James Bulger will conduct the services. Interment will be made in the Calvary cemetery.

The deceased was born in Germany January 5, 1851 and was 62 years, 4 months and 17 days of age.

He had been a resident of Wapello county for the past 22 years and was one of the best known and most highly respected farmers of the community.

Besides his wife, four children are left to mourn his loss. They are John R., Norman, and Paul Sinskey all of Ottumwa and Mrs. Johanna Gosney of Missouri. One brother, A. Sinskey also survives.

Scieszinski

Melrose

John Scieszinski died at his home west of Ottumwa. He was a brother of Nostic Scieszinski of Melrose.

Attending the funeral from here were Nostic Scieszinski and sons John, William and Joe.

John Scieszinski was a pioneer resident of Wapello County. He died yesterday in Adams Township, 10 miles west of Ottumwa and will be buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

He was born in Germany Jan. 5, 1851 and died aged 62 years, 4 months, 17 days. He lived in Wapello County the last 22 years.

His wife and four children survive. The children are John R., Norman and Paul of Ottumwa and Johanna Gosney of Missouri; brother A. Scieszinski also survives.

Note: John S. Sinskey was the brother of Anistasia Vanastic Scieszinski (1846 - 1941) aka Nostic Scieszinski, a resident of Monroe County, IA
