John Sinskey

John Sinskey, 90, of 520 S. Moore St. died Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital following a short illness.

The son of John and Elizabeth Pamborine Sinskey, he was born in Coal Valley, ILL., on Sept. 5, 1876.

A resident of Wapello County most of his life, he had lived in Ottumwa the past 15 years. He had operated a coal mine south of Munterville in partnership with his brothers for many years.

Surviving are two brothers, Norman and Paul Sinskey of Ottumwa, and nieces and nephews. A sister, Johanna Gosney, died in 1966.

The service will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Laurents Flak officiating at the Munterville Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Munterville Cemetery.
