Addie M. Sterner was born In Pennsylvania, July 6, 1858. Came to Iowa with her parents about the year 1858, settling near Agency, where the deceased remained until she was called to her home above. Deceased was united in marriage to William Johnson August 3, 1870. To this union three children were born, all of whom survive their mother. Mrs. Johnson united with the M. E church in Agency 34 years, ago and has lived a consistent Christian all of these years. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson have resided on a farm one-half mile north of Agency during their entire married life, which covered a period of 40 years, and during this time many changes have taken place. Mrs. Johnson was loved by all who knew her. She was a true wife and mother, a kind neighbor and a friend to all, especially those in trouble. Mrs. Johnson passed away Thursday, February 2, leaving to mourn her a husband, William Johnson, three children, Mrs. Anna McCoy of Douds Leando, Mrs. Laura Rill of Agency and Jesse R. Johnson of Sumner, Iowa. Thirteen grandchildren, an aged father and three brothers besides a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral serviced were held in the Agency M. E. church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev, Hankins. Interment in the Agency cemetery.—Contributed.
