Rachel Elenor Anderson, daughter Oscar Albin Anderson and Mrs. Anna Charlotta Anderson was born in Ottumwa Iowa, January 20th, 1908. After an illness of six weeks during which time she bore her suffering most patiently, she departed in peace to her home above February 19, 1911 at 3:50 a. m. at the family residence 1600 East Main Street, Ottumwa, Iowa. She was 2 years, six months and 21 days old. Besides her parents she leaves behind in this life her little sister Cornelia Isabell. Rachel’s life was short, but it was promising and beautiful as the promising spring time. She is not dead but living in a fairer world than this one could have been for her. For the angles do always behold the face of their father which is heaven.Ottumwa Tri Weekly Courier February 14, 1911
