DEFORD—Wednesday, February 8, 1911, at 6:15 p. m. at the family residence, 609 Ray Street, James K. Deford, aged 66 years. The deceased was the father of Benjamin Deford, who passed away several days ago at the Ottumwa hospital from a broken back. The deceased is survived by his wife, three sons: F. E. Deford of Ray street, W. B. Deford of West Main street, and James K. Deford, Jr., at home, and three daughters, Mrs. Etta Carter of Eldon, Mrs. Anna Brooks, 516 South Moore street, and Mrs. Ella Cassiday of Liverpool, Ohio. Funeral services at the residence Saturday morning at 8 o'clock and at the Miller chapel at 11 o'clock. Rev. S. Isaac Elder of the Davis Street Christian church, will conduct the services. Interment will be made in the Fiedler cemetery. The deceased was an old soldier, and the members of J. M. Tuttle post, G. A. R., of South Ottumwa, of which the deceased was a members, will have charge of the services at the residence.
