The funeral service will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. J. Locke. The interment will be in Ottumwa cemetery. By her own request the remains of Mrs. Tisdale will be carried to her last resting place by her four sons, her son-in-law, S. G. Pierson of Denver and nephew, W. W. Baldwin of Burlington. Pierson of Denver, Colo Her husband passed away May 22, 1891. The family home has been in Ottumwa over forty-four years. Mrs. Tisdale was richly endowed both physically and mentally. Amid her many cares as mother of a large family she maintained a charming equipoise and serenity of spirit, and always found time for reading and thought along helpful lines. She was an earnest worker and consistent member of the Congregational church and a charter member of the Shakespeare club, entering most heartily into all its labors and pleasures the club enjoyed the gracious hospitality of her home for its regular meetings and social occasions. She was one of the original workers in the Young Woman's Christian association and served on its board of directors. Her heart was open toward all who needed help. She was a faithful friend, a devoted wife and a loving mother. She came down to the evening of life with rare grace, holding her interest in all the great questions of the day as well as in the welfare of her friends. Hers was an ideal old age in her own home, constantly ministered to by a most devoted daughter and sons.
