Susan Adcock was born hear Ottumwa, Iowa, Jan. 3, 1854 and died Jan. 18, 1911, aged 57 years. She moved with her parents to Davis County at the age of ten years, where she lived the greater part of her life. She was married to John H. Fleming In 1876. To this union were born nine children: Barton E. Mrs. Austa Hunter. Gilford H., Mrs. Bessie Sloan, Evalina, Clarice R., Sylvia, Alice and Wray. Two little girls, Alice and Evalina preceded here to her heavenly home. She united with the Christian church in 1881 and lived an earnest Christian life until her death. She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, seven children, three brothers and a host of friends. She was a loving wife and mother, a true friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The funeral services were held at the Christian church in Drakesville, conducted by E. A. Hastings of Bloomfield assisted by Ed Campitt and interment was made in Drakesville cemetery.—Contributed.
