Ottumwa Courier July 18, 1936

John Hull, 82, died Friday at the home of his son Loman, near Ottumwa, after 11 days illness. He was born March 24, 1854, near Douds the son of Dan and Sophronia Hull and was married to Miss Margaret Ann Black on February 12, 1880. Three sons preceded him in death. He survived by eight children, Loman and Lester of Ottumwa, Claudia and Alma, Colorado, Steve of Douds, Mrs. Ben Boyd of Cleveland Ohio, Mrs. Carl Nichols of Davenport, Mrs. George Pollock of Ottumwa and Mrs. Clarence Mathias of Selma; by a brother, Steve Hull of Keosauqua, and 23 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 PM at the Leando church in charge of the Rev. Earl Chader and burial be in the Leando cemetery.
