Irvin D. “Jum” Daniels, 50 of Hedrick route 4 died en route to the St. Joseph hospital at 2 AM today. He was the son of William and Mary Daniels and was born in Keokuk County December 28, 1885. He lived on a farm near Hedrick practically all of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Frank. Surviving are one daughter, Hildred Daniels of Ottumwa; two sons, Harold and Joseph, both of Ottumwa; one sister, Mrs. Juanita Holzhauser, of Hedrick; two brothers, Omer of Batavia and C. W. of Hedrick, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM in Johnson's funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Roy C. Leads. Burial be made in the Cedar cemetery, Fremont. The body will be taken to the home of his son, Harold Daniels, 807 Lee Ave., Friday at 5 PM and returned to the Chapel at noon Saturday.
